INTERFERENCES #1
On September 12, 2020, seven artists from French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland will embark on a unique experience at the Nyon Library. Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., they will present their works, installations, and performances in various rooms of the building. Bearing the evocative title Interferences, their intervention is a one-of-a-kind event not to be missed.
The adult section of the Nyon communal library will lend itself to an unprecedented artistic experience. On Saturday, September 12, 2020, it will transform into an exhibition space hosting the artists from French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland: Remy Erismann, Antonia Erni, Andréanne Oberson, Adrien Rihs, Cathia Rocha, and BEC BDE (Tilo Steireif and Cédric Henny). They will present works that offer a reflective dialogue on the world around them.
Some artists will draw inspiration from the architecture of the place, others perhaps from its history, and still others from the world of books or reading. All of them will imagine works interacting with this space’s unique atmosphere to create ephemeral and unique pieces, which the public will be able to discover over the eight-hour duration of the exhibition.
Interferences is an innovative project that allows a wide audience to access culture and discover ambitious works. Proposed by the associations agar-agar (Nyon) and office goes art (Bern), it also aims to strengthen cultural exchanges between French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland. In doing so, it not only fosters a dialogue between new artistic creations and a distinctive environment but also brings together artists from two linguistic regions. During the exhibition, the artists will be present, allowing the public to interact with them and learn more about the displayed works.
The limited time available for the artists to create their installations, along with the unique architecture and layout of the venue, poses significant challenges and encourages them to develop new ideas.
Interferences generates an experience on multiple levels, particularly in artistic reflection, linguistic exchanges, and even the discovery of different mentalities.
One week later, the same team of artists will exhibit in Bern in a completely different setting: the offices of an administrative institution!

INTERFERENCES #1
Collective exposition, public library, Avenue Viollier 10, 1260 Nyon, september 2019

The challenge of this 306 series is to reclaim the language of others by freeing it from its linearity through a process of fragmentation, creating an elsewhere. Only punctuation—this breath—remains intact, rhythmically shaping what we (do not) read, amplifying the sensation of loss, the absence of the memory of words.

306, scalpel on paper, Collective exposition, public library, Avenue Viollier 10, 1260 Nyon, september 2019

INTERFERENCES #2
Collective exposition, CIFC Suisse-Berne, Schwanengasse 9, 3011 Berne, september 2019

XY is a work focused on a practical repertoire of commercial contracts, reflecting a demanding and sophisticated Swiss legal life, confronting it with images of a more libertine world. An invitation to imagination and an escape from these paper constraints.
